These are surgeries to be performed in cases of dissatisfaction with the shape and size of the ears and serious asymmetries between the two ears. Prominent ear aesthetics, ear reduction and earlobe aesthetics are frequently applied. Prominent ear is caused by the excessive angle between the head and the ear and the underdevelopment of the upper fold on the ear. It is recommended to be operated in pre-school childhood so that it is prevented from being ridiculed at school ages and it is ensured that it does not have self-confidence problems. Unilateral or bilateral operations can be performed.
How is Ear Aesthetics Performed?
Antalya Ear aesthetic surgery is performed by a plastic surgeon who is an expert in his field, in a full-fledged hospital, under operating room conditions, under general or local anesthesia depending on the age of the person. In the surgery, a small incision is first made behind the ear. From here, the ear folds are formed with surgical threads and the cartilage tissue is shaped. If the cartilage tissue is larger than it should be, the excess parts are removed. After the final shape is given, the ears are pulled backwards with surgical threads and moved to where they should be and fixed to this point with aesthetic sutures. Finally, it is bandaged and covered against external influences.
Antalya Prominent ear surgery is completed in about 1-1.5 hours. After the surgery, the person is discharged on the same day. The bandages are removed 3-4 days after the surgery; since dissolving stitches are used, there is no need to remove the stitches. After the bandages are removed, the person can easily return to his/her social life and work life if he/she is not working a heavy job. As in every surgical operation, a very light scar remains in the ear aesthetic surgery. However, since this scar remains in the natural fold behind the ear, it is not noticed by people at all.
What to Pay Attention to After Antalya Ear Aesthetic Surgery?
Since mild pain is felt in the first few days after the surgery, it is recommended to rest as much as possible during this period. Painkillers make the process more comfortable. Antibiotics should be used against possible infection risks for 1 week after prominent ear surgery. The bandages on the ear are removed 3-4 days after the surgery. The person can wash easily after the bandages are removed. The edema in the ears decreases considerably in about 1 week and 10 days. After the bandages are removed, a hair band called a tennis band must be worn for 2 weeks to stabilize the cartilage. Afterwards, the band is worn only at night.
The longer this band that stabilizes the ears is worn, the more successful the ear aesthetic surgery is. It is generally recommended to wear this band at night for 1 month after surgery. During this whole process, movements such as bumping, lying on or upside down, pressing, etc. that will distort the shape of the ear and cause trauma should be avoided.

I have had a really komplex nose. My nose was crooked and also had a bump with a droppy tip. Additionally I seemed to have reacted allergic to something when i was in surgery. But I woke up from anesthesia and was perfectly fine. The surgical team did a great job with handling everything. My nose turned out very good (2,5 months post op) and i am more than happy. The staff (Tugce especially) is very nice and the doctor does a very good job. I would have never thought that I will be this happy with the result. Recommend:)
